FOCUS ON VIBRANT HEALTH

Series: FOCUS ON VIBRANT HEALTH | Story 15

How is your health journey going? Are you eating more nutrient dense foods, such as liver, eggs and raw dairy? Are you avoiding vegetable oils? Remember to get out and get sunshine at various times throughout the day. Hopefully you are doing these things, and you are noticing that you have more energy, you are sleeping better, and your thinking is clearer.

The next major factor that affects your health is the toxins that you are exposed to. Over 800 chemicals can be found in your body, and these have known health effects on your biology. They are present in water, soil, food, beverages and the air. Manufacturers of these chemicals are not held accountable, and testing is not done. It is up to you to protect yourself as best you can, and that begins with awareness.

Many of these toxins are what are called endocrine disrupting chemicals. They have been linked to poor sperm quality and infertility, abnormalities in sex organs, endometriosis, early puberty, altered nervous system function, immune function, certain cancers, respiratory problems, metabolic issues, diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular problems, growth, neurological and learning disabilities, and more. They are found in plastics, cosmetics, personal care products, cleaning products, even in your furniture and clothing. Herbicides and pesticides are also very toxic to your biology, not just to the plants and insects. Even the medications you take, both prescription and over the counter, have toxic effects.

What can you do? Avoid plastic everywhere you can, starting with water bottles and leftover containers. Instead use glass. Eat organic plant foods, and naturally raised animal products. Use non-toxic cleaning products and personal care products. You can go to Environmental Working Group and use their database to see if the ingredients in your favorite products are safe.
