Last week was a very trying and unusual weather week, on Wednesday afternoon we had hail along with thunder and lightening and lot of rain, the hail was as large as baseballs in some areas, and this can certainly damage cars, houses and animals that are out in the open. Our area was not hit by tornados as some in the center Tennessee area and even some loss of lives. We pray for those in areas where this damage and loss occurred. We are still having lots of rain along with thunderstorms. Monday started off with thunder and rain in the early morning.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Kasey Baker, Colene Beasley, Linda Butler, Elizabeth Boggs, Bobby Carroll, Gertie Carroll, Spencer Clark, , Robert and Pat Dickson, Paula Dyer, Ophelia Green, Betty Hasty, Darrell Hinson, Wanda Holloway, Denny King, Monette King, Lillie Mitchell, Greg McCann, Brittany Mash, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Eddie Prince, Harry Runions, Marsha Runions, Lewis Schultz, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Ann Spencer, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Prayers for these and others we may not know of but especially pray for those with cancer for sometimes the treatments are as bad or worse on the body than the disease.

We wish a happy birthday to Gabriella Reeves and Dee Warf the 17th, Rhonda Bennett the 20th, Polly Edwards and Sara Barber the 22nd, and Vickie Bates and Misty Fite the 23rd. Wishing for all these and anyone I missed a very happy birthday and many more to celebrate.

Prayers for all those families who lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Billye Jean Skelton, Patty Denison, Shirley Skelton Luker, Dorian Branislaus Clemens, Daryl Glenn Johnson, Colin P. Potete, Fredrick James Lezotte, James Ronald Martin, and Ralph Skelton. Prayers for these families and any others about which I may not know.

Keep in mind the homecoming at Palestine Cemetery on May 26, 2024, if you cannot attend and have family at Palestine Cemetery you can send or take your donation to Regions Bank either in Hohenwald or Columbia or other places where there is a Regions bank.

Several were at Collinwood on Saturday for ballgames and were there most of the day and I know some that got sunburned sitting out in the sun. Everyone enjoyed watching the children play ball and having fun and some enjoyed picnic lunch in the park. The girls’ team from Hohenwald that my great grand daughter played on won all three of the games we played and although everyone was tired we enjoyed the day. I am sure other teams from Hohenwald were winners but don’t know the team names.

Wishing everyone a great week and remember those who are less fortunate and say a prayer for them and help if you can.
