Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898

Gordonsburg / Little Swan News

Series: Gordonsburg | Story 189

I would guess that many residents of Lewis County and Hohenwald were awoken by the ringing of the telephone in the early hours of Monday the 27th, it was the emergency service saying we were under a thunderstorm watch for a few hours. It did come a thunderstorm but now as severe as was predicted we had lots of thunder and lightning but no hail and not a lot of wind we did have lot of rain. Hope in your area it was also calm. I am glad we have this service to warm us of dangerous weather situations.

There are many things going on at the local library, the summer reading program will be getting underway and connected with it many programs that will count toward points children can earn during the summer, be sure to check this out.

Hoping that each and every one of you and your family enjoyed the three-day weekend and were able to visit with family and friends. It was a pretty good weekend as far as the weather was concerned, not too much rain.

Prayers for everyone to have a great week and enjoy your time with others that you love to visit, remember those who are less fortunate and help them as you can.
