wind. The rain is good for the farmers’ crops and the gardens that many in the area grow. This past Saturday night we had a thunderstorm and it had some fierce lightening and thunder, it would rattle the windows as mom used to say, actually it was early Monday morning but there was no loss of power where we were.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Kasey Baker, Colene Beasley, Linda Butler, Elizabeth Boggs, Bobby Carroll, Gertie Carroll, Spencer Clark, Robert and Pat Dickson, Paula Dyer, Ophelia Green, Betty Hasty, Melissa Hendeson, Darrell Hinson, Wanda Holloway, Wayne Holloway, Thelma Johns, Denny King, Monette King, Jim Lawson, Lillie Mitchell, Greg McCann, Brittany Mash, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Joy Orman, Judy O’Guin, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Eddie Prince, Harry Runions, Marsha Runions, Lewis Schultz, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Prayers for these and others we may not know of but especially pray for those with cancer.

We wish a happy birthday to Shawn Clayton the 15th, Danny Atkinson the 16th, Eric Hillhouse the 18th, and Terissa Miller the 21st, Oliver Bates, Kim Buchanan, and Howard Miller the 22nd. Wishing for all these and anyone I missed a very happy birthday and many more to celebrate.

Happy anniversary to the following couples Corbin and Jennifer Carroll on June 14th , and Terry and Tammy Stutts on the 18th. We wish many more years for these couples to celebrate life together.

Prayers for all those families who lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Maksen Mitchell, Jerry Clyde Riley, Kyler Lane Haddock, Deborah Ann Eaton Harville, Larry Cecil Toungette, William C. Wilcox, Pamela Joan Meek, Reverand Jack C. Tharp, Dairl Frank Moss, Frances Elizabeth Stone, donna Carol Wilson, Ida Mae Loveless, Joyce Annette Mayberry, Leona Parker Rucker, Patricia Ann Moore, and Gerald Walker McFrarlin.. Prayers for these families and any others about which I may not know.

Several events are coming up for the library, which is great for all the children and others interested in the area. There is story time almost every Tuesday at 10 am. Check the calendar at the library for upcoming events that you might be interested in.

Several ball teams have now completed the all-stars tournament, some teams from here are now state bound for those tournaments, my great granddaughter is on one of those teams. Wish all them the best in the upcoming games.

Remember as you go about your daily life if there is someone who might be less fortunate take time to visit, call, or send a card to them. They would really appreciate it. Praying for you and your family to have a safe week coming up and enjoy the weather and the wonderful world God has prepared for us to enjoy.
