Danny Dale Mathis

December 9, 1954 ~ June 1, 2024

Mr. Danny Dale Mathis was born on December 9, 1954, in Hohenwald, to the late William J. and Ellen Mae Hendrix Mathis. He was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ and spent his life working as a brick mason.

Mr. Mathis enjoyed watching sports particularly watching the "TN Vols", eating strawberry ice cream, and relaxing with his best furry friend "Baby" his little dog he spent many hours with. Mr. Mathis departed this life to be with his Lord on June 1, 2024, at the Maury Regional Medical Center at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 20 days.

He is survived by his sons Jason Mathis of Waynesboro, and Justin Mathis wife (Rachel) of Lawrenceburg, stepchildren Crystal and Rick Smith; grandchildren Colby, Autumn, Savannah Mathis, Tristen Pigg, Jackson Pigg, Kristen Brasier, Aleigh Brasier, Cameron Smith, and Blaze Smith. siblings Terry Mathis and wife (Wanda) of Waynesboro, Jackie Mathis and wife (Cathy) of Lobelville.

Funeral services were held Friday June 7, 2024 at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation, LLC Chapel in Waynesboro.

Burial with committal service was concluded at the Whitehead Cemetery in Waynesboro.
