SUMMERFEST:"A Lotta Summer Fun"

Locals patronized vendors filling Main Street between Maple and Court during the annual Summerfest event held Saturday, June 8, 2024. Attendees enjoyed food trucks, and music all day by way of an open mic, while kids slid down the waterslide and bounce house before getting their face painted by local artist, Toni Crowder.

Into the evening, seats were filled as the sounds of Gospel music flowed from the band "Catch Fire," and closing out the night, folks danced to familiar classic rock by the band LEGACY.

Summerfest is a Hohenwald/Lewis County Chamber of Commerce sponsored event. "It was a lotta summer fun," said Chamber Executive Director Debbie Landers, "with great vendors, kids activities, awesome food and music! Many thanks to our organizer, Downtown Merchants Association Chair, Mike Ricketts, and the great sponsors who made a summer festival possible."
