Building Hope in Hohenwald

Hope Hohenwald, the youth program located on Park Avenue, is currently running a

"Building Hope" campaign to raise funds for larger, much needed facility additions. (See Full Story In Next Week's Edition). During the campaign, the Lewis County Herald will highlight, weekly, the "Hope" being dished out on that side of town! First up:

Meet Fallon Toft. Ms. Fallon was born with Cerebral Palsy, and has, in years past, spent summer days bored at her mother's work on a tablet or some other screen. "We signed up when she was 7, but with her c.p. and being non-verbal, I got scared. However, last summer was very hard on her," said her mother Hailey, "but a coworker's kid goes to Hope, and they loved it. So this year, we decided it was time, and it has truly been the best decision.

As soon as I pick her up, she can't wait to tell me about the cake she decorated, or the paper mache' cat she created, or walking to the park. She has matured this year getting to be around other kids her age. The change in my child is so very heartwarming, Toft concluded."

"It's good for Fallon," said Tonya Woodward, President of Hope Hohenwald, "but it's good for us too. The kids, the staff, we're all learning to love around here.
