Shooting Sports team competes in state competition

Lewis County Shooting Sports team members competed in the 2024 State Competitions in Nashville, TN June 17-22, 2024. All shooters shot trap, and various others shot sporting clays, doubles trap, handicap and skeet.

Shooters did a great job representing Lewis County; the heat was in the high 90s, but each shooter turned in great scores and did the very best they could.

Ladies Varsity Shooter Zoie Clark won 2nd place ladies varsity HOA in the main events, which is huge honor; Junior Varsity Shooter Anna Burney placed second in singles trap and shot her first 50 straight. New shooter Gauge Clayton shot his first 25 straight. All the shooters did exceptionally well. Up next is Nationals in Marengo, Ohio. Lewis County has 12 shooters traveling to compete in the Nationals competition.
