Eddie Dean Prince

January 13, 1955 ~ July 16, 2024

Eddie Dean Prince was born January 13, 1955, to the late Wilburn Prince and Florence Lillian Byrd Prince in Hohenwald. He, being a Wayne County native, graduated from Wayne County High School in Waynesboro. Mr. Prince married Ms. Shelia Cole on June 30, 1978, with whom he would remain married until his passing, the two would make Waynesboro their forever home.

Spending his life dedicated to his family, he worked many years in different positions such as a Tow Motor driver and lead Shipping Dept. manager for Lincoln Brass Works. Mr. Prince and his family attended and are members at the Green River Tabernacle Church in Waynesboro, which he loved. His church and church family were very dear to his heart. He enjoyed worshipping the Lord in song, by singing at church. He also enjoyed several other activities such as Racking Horses, running his beagles while hunting rabbits, watching the TN Vols play and was an avid Wayne County Wildcats Basketball fan. Mr. Eddie Dean Prince passed from this life at his home in Waynesboro to be with his Lord on July 16, 2024, making his stay on this earth some 69 years, 6 months and 3 days.

Mr. Prince is survived by his wife of 44 years Shelia Diane Cole Prince; daughters Joy Beth Prince Pope and husband Bryan Pope and Jerica Dee Prince and fiancé Ryan Bumphus all of Waynesboro; grandchildren Braxton Butler, Reyna Prince, Justice Bell, Star Prince, Boston Pope and Brandon Pope; sister Patricia Prince Wright

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by granddaughter Rionna Riojas; siblings Lonnie Prince, Robert Prince, Wayford Prince, Grace Prince Hunt, Willa Prince Mattox and Nona Prince Hardy

Services were held at the Green River Tabernacle Church on Thursday July 18, 2024, with Jason Janes and Larry Janes officiating.

Burial with committal service followed immediately after services, at the Highland Methodist Church Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Bryan Pope, Ryan Bumphus, Dwight Prince, Larry Prince, Jack Mattox and Tony Hunt.

Honorary Pallbearers include Braxton Butler, Justice Bell, Boston Pope and Brandon Pope.
