State Leaders Praise Lewis County's Buffalo River Blueway

Last week, leaders from various state departments visited our community to participate in a "Partner Paddle" event, which was designed to showcase Lewis County's Buffalo River Blueway.

One of the main focuses of the groups visit was to witness the substantial progress the county has made at its Public Access Point at the Mouth of Grinders Creek over the last four years.

Since 2020, the state has awarded Lewis County over $200,000 in grants and in-kind assistance that allowed the county to purchase, develop and promote the Mouth of Grinder's Creek Blueway site at nearly no cost to local taxpaye...
