local law enforcement's joint efforts aid multiple counties in high speed chase

On August 1st, 2024 at approximately 12:18 PM. Hohenwald Police Department Officer Brandon Pace responded to a call at Marathon gas station at 429 E. Main Street.

The caller stated that a blue Mercedes 4 door sedan drove off without paying for gas. The vehicle prepaid $20 for gas but left without paying for an additional $48.

The vehicle was later found at a nearby car wash. The driver, identified as Bradley Lindsay, drove off when approached by Inv. Pace.

After a brief pursuit, during which Lindsay made a U-turn and gave an obscene gesture to the officer, the car sped away. The tag was reported stolen out of Decatur, Alabama.

The vehicle was later located by Lewis County Deputies, but the pursuit was discontinued near the Lewis County line due to high speed headed out of the county.

Spring Hill Police Department informed Hohenwald Police Department that they received a tip identifying the driver of the Mercedes as Bradley Lindsay from Columbia, TN.

Warrants were issued for his arrest on charges of felony evading, felony reckless endangerment, and theft.
