Free Diapers for Locals

TennCare and CoverKids members under age two are now eligible for the TennCare Diaper benefit, which provides up to 100 diapers per month for parents and caregivers. Locally, Jones Hometown Healthmart Pharmacy is participating in the program and are anticipating a start date in mid August. They have begun a list of those interested and will begin as soon as logistics are worked out with the State.

Owner of the local participating pharmacy, Jon Jones, says, “this is a brand new program, and as with all things new, there are kinks to work out. We are working through them, along with the other pharmacies participating, and look forward to provide this service for our community.”

He wants to encourage parents and caregivers to call ahead, as there may be times certain brands are not in stock.

Parents and caregivers can walk up to the pharmacy counter to pick up the diapers with no cost, copay, or prescription required. Covered diaper brands through the program include Huggies, Cuties, Pampers, and Luvs.
