Wesley Lee Butler

Mr. Wesley Lee Butler was born in Florence, Alabama, on October 6, 1982 to Mr. Toney Dewayne Butler Sr. and Mrs. Wanda Gail Brewer Butler. He was of the graduating class of 2001 in Collinwood High.

He bravely served his country in the United States Army during the Iraqi Freedom campaign and was a retired Army veteran. After his military career he would return home to his home in Tennessee and hold many different positions

in several different fields. He enjoyed working with children as he was a teacher for the Mt. Olive Elementary School in Nashville, and he also worked as a chef as he enjoyed the culinary arts. Mr. Butler was creative in his endeavors as he enjoyed spending his leisure time painting and drawing. He was a man of faith as he attended and studied with the Seven Day Adventist Church and was of the Christian faith. Mr. Wesley Butler passed from this walk of life at his home in Iron City, at the age of 41 years, 9 months and 30 days.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister Wanda Spears and husband Randall of Waynesboro; nieces Brittany Michelle Spears and husband Bud of Hohenwald, Abigail Elizabeth Spears of Iron City, Katie Renee Spears of Waynesboro, Vickie Ann Butler of Cypress Inn; nephews Jon Randall Spears and wife Ariana of Hohenwald, Zachary Tyson Spears of Hohenwald; aunts Shirley Kelly of Iron City, Brenda Brewer of Waynesboro, Angela Brewer of Athens, AL, Dixie Brown of Waynesboro, Jewel Butler of Iron City, and Willowdean Moorefield of Waynesboro.

He was preceded in death by his brother Toney Dewayne Butler Jr.; sister Vickie Ann Butler. aunt Sue Dennis; uncles Benji Brewer, Eddy Brewer, Eugene Butler, Teddy Butler and Frank Butler.

Graveside services were held August 8, 2024, at Butler Grove Cemetery with military honors.
