Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
We finally had some rain in the area on Friday, and again on Saturday and Sunday which is very welcome, but every little bit helps as dry as it is now, think it was said that it has been over sixty years since it has been this dry in our county. Some are having issues with water getting low, and ponds going dry, and having to haul water from other places, and if we do not get more rain soon there will probably be more water problems.
Those I know which are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Kasey Baker, Colene Beasley, Linda Butler, Elizabeth Boggs, Gertie Carroll, Spencer Clark, Nita Cottrel, Robert and Pat Dickson, Polly Edwards, Paul Gandy, Ophelia Green, Betty Hasty, Melissa Hendeson, Wayne Holloway, Thelma Johns, Denny King, Monette King, Lillie Mitchell, Greg McCann, Jason McCann, Brittany Mash, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Will Morris, Joy Orman, Judy O’Guin, Jessica Roden, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Harry Runions, Marsha Runions, Russell Runions, Vera Runions, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Carolyn Staggs, Payton Carroll Staggs, Addie Steel, Terry Stutts, Pauline Tripp, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Happy anniversary to Walter and Fran Mears on September 9th, and William and Helen McCann the 13th, we wish for these couples many more years to celebrate life together.
The children had their first holiday from school this week with Labor Day being on Monday, I know they enjoyed this as did those who had a day off from work because of it. Hoping everyone had a great day and perhaps enjoyed being with family.
Prayers for all those families who lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about
Darrin Scott Ennis, Dorothy Ferry McNaughton, Thomas W. Staggs, Angela Kay Pierce, K. C. Potter, Dorothy Jean Frazier, Ruth Snaders, William Graner Poff, and Hertha Love Clayborn Welch. Prayers for these families and any others about which I may not know.
Prayers for you and your family that you are not in the number of those who are having water problems, but many are in this area and probably other areas also.
