The Lewis County Public Library and Archives is pleased to announce a series of programs for patrons of all ages throughout the month of September. On Saturday, September 14th at 2 PM, retired engineer Vincent Valetutti will present a discussion on sea level changes, highlighting ways individuals can implement small improvements to make a significant impact on the environment.

The Teen Movie Mates & Book Buds will convene on Wednesday, September 18th at 3:30 PM to discuss the inspiring book and film “Soul Surfer,” which chronicles the true story of surfer Bethany Hamilton. This program is for teens ages 13-18.

Tween and Junior Reading Clubs are scheduled to meet at 3:30 PM on Thursday, September 19th, to begin their next reading selections. Tween Reading Club is for ages 8-12, and Junior Reading Club is for ages 5-7.

On Saturday, September 21st at 2 PM, the Grown-Up Movie Mates and Book Buds will enjoy a classic swashbuckling film that is “inconceivable!” This screening is rated PG and is intended for an audience aged 18 and older.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 28th, as the library will host a Food for Fines Day event. Finally, every Tuesday at 10 AM, preschoolers are invited to participate in Preschool Story Time, where they can develop early literacy skills through engaging stories, songs, and crafts.
