Focus on Vibrant Health

Series: FOCUS ON VIBRANT HEALTH | Story 21

Your emotional health is a critical part of your health and happiness. Emotional and physical health are inseparable. There are 5 perspectives that can help you evaluate and improve your emotional health. One of these is stress. This article should have preceded the last one written about “Attitude”, but it did not. So it is here now.

Stress is your body’s response to any demand for change. Stress can be physical or emotional, it can be positive or negative. How you interpret an event in your life depends on your perceptions and expectations. Feeling like you have control is critical. One of the benefits of the Focus on Vibrant Health articles is that you are learning key information that can give you more control over the choices you make that affect your health.

Learn to recognize the signs of stress. The breaking point varies, so pay attention to yourself. Signs may include a decreased interest in sex, erectile dysfunction, menstrual cycle abnormalities, headaches, stomach pain and indigestion, poor sleep, depression, moodiness, feeling critical of others, addictive behaviors, poor memory and cloudy thinking, hair loss, weight gain, and more.

How can you manage stress? You can take action, ask for help, delegate, and make good lifestyle choices. These good choices include eating nutrient dense unprocessed foods, getting sunshine, avoiding toxins (chemicals and electromagnetic), good sleep, and exercise.
