Sheriff Kilpatrick celebrates 30 years

Sheriff Dwayne Kilpatrick was presented a Certificate of Appreciation by Lewis County Mayor, Jonah Keltner, who was joined by several Law Enforcement and Correctional Officers, as well as other county government personnel.

During the presentation, Mayor Keltner stated, "Sheriff Kilpatrick first took office on September 1, 1994, and since that time has done a great job overseeing our Sheriff's Department and Jail. I really appreciate his committment to protecting and serving our community the last thirty years."

Sheriff Kilpatrick has been elected to office eight consecutive terms, and is one of the longest serving active Sheriff's in Tennessee. He is well respected across the state by his peers, and has been a mentor to hundreds of law enforcement personnel over the years.
