TIMOTHY ASHLEY

Timothy Sherman Ashely passed from this world on September 9, 2024, at 64. Tim was born on August 9, 1960, in Memphis, to the late Bill and May Joy Wateridge Ashley.

A devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather, he cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. An avid cook, Tim found joy in the kitchen, preparing meals for those he held close. Even on his last day, he was happiest when sharing his talent for cooking with those he loved. His garden was a source of pride, especially his prized tomato plants, which he tended with the same care and attention he gave to every aspect of his life.

In addition to his parents, Bill and May Joy, Tim is preceded in death by his siblings, Rodney Ashley, Jonathan Ashley, Priscilla Runions, and Elaine Ashley.

He is survived by his wife, Zetty Ashley; his children, Kimberly "Pooh" Sublett (David), TJ Ashley, Daniel Ashley, and Carrie Underwood (Charles); his siblings, William Todd Ashely, Bobby Neil Ashley, Dixie Helen Malcolm, Deborah Jamison-Lee, and Mary Rachel Walker; along with thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the Ashley family was from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 14 in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Graveside services were at 1:00 p.m. at Lewis County Memorial Gardens.
