Panthers hold bulldogs scoreless

The Lewis County High School Panthers hosted the Hickman County Bulldogs ai Bobby W. Sharp Stadium Friday, September 13, with threatening weather in the forecast. Lewis County scored in each quarter while keeping the Bulldogs at bay and recording a 32-0 win.

The Panthers scored their first points on a 21 yard dash by Drew Ray at 1:19 in the first period. Nathanial Caamal carried the ball for a two point conversion giving the home team a 8-7 lead.

A second Panther TD came at 9:20 in the second when Micah Godfrey ran 19 yards for paydirt. Drew Ray took the extra point try in for a 16-0 advantage.

After the halftime break, the Panther Ray scred on a 25 yard pass from QB Brycen McDonald at 7:35. Ray also added the conversion run to put the home team up 24-0.

Kobe Feichtinger received a 42 yard pass from McDonald at 11:12 in the final quarter for a score. Caamal added another conversion try rush bringing the Panther total to 32-0.

Rushing totals saw Micah Godfrey with 103 yards on 16 carries. Ray ran 68 yards on 8 touches. Reggie Wade ran 7 on 4 tries, McDonald was 3 for 4 yards and Caamal had 2 on one try.

Receiving totals saw Feichtinger pull down 4 passes for 81 yards. Ray was 29 on 2 catches. Aiden Wise caught 2 for 18, Dakota Hull 2 for 9 yards, Kade Carroll 1 for 8.

Hull returned two kick off for 21 yards and Micah Godfrey had 4 for 67.

McDonald had 16 attaepts with eleven completions for 145 yards and two TDs.

Henry Sharp averaged43.8 yards per kick off with 5 kicks and a total yardage of 219.

Dakota Hull ran one kick return for 41 yards.

The Panthers totaled 48 plays for 329 yards with an average of 6.85 yards per play.

The Bulldogs had 40 plays for 132 yards and a 3.3 average.

Panther defensive was led by Braylon Bean with 6 tackles. Ray and Caamal had 4 each, Feichtinger, Carroll, Corbyn Harris, Tucker Jones and Nate James had 3 each, Godfrey and Logan Graves with 2 each, Wise, Gavin Coker, Noah Alkire one each. Harris and Graves each has a QB sack. Coker and Caamal each picked up a fumble.

Lewis County will host the Loretto this Friday, September 20, at Bobby W. Sharp Stadium at 7 p.m.
