LCHS Band takes first place at columbia contest

Lewis County High School Band competed at the 48th annual Columbia Invitational Marching Contest Saturday, September 28. In Class A, the band received 1st place Musical Effect, 1st place Music ensemble, 1st place Music, 2nd place Percussion, 2nd place Colorguard and 1st place band in Class A. The music score increased from a 33.5 at Summit to a 44.85 at Columbia. Due to weather, the bands had to perform indoors.
