LCHS Panthers win over Mt. Pleasant

The Lewis County High School Panthers traveled to Mt. Pleasant Friday night, September 27 to face Mt. Plesant in a region game. The Panthers won 8-6.

Drew Ray put the first points on the board for the Panthers in teh first quarter on a 28 yard run and was successful on his 2 point run conversion to make the score 8-0.

Mt. Pleasant scored late in the second quarter with a 24 yard run by J.P. Easterling. The run conversion attempt was no good, leaving the score at 8-6 at the half.

Rushing totals saw Drew Ray with121 yards on 22 attempts and a TD. Bentley Kelsey had 30 yards on 3 carries, Braylon Bean, 2 yards on 3 carries; Brycen McDonald, 6 yards on 2 carries; and Nathanial Caamal, 1 yard on 1 carry.

Quarterback Brycen McDonald 5 pass attempts with 2 completions for 14 yards.

On the receiving end were Kade Carroll with 1 catch for 8 yards, and Bentley Kelsey with 1 catch for 6 yards.

Micah Godfrey kicked off twice for 76 yards.

Bentley Kelsey returned a kickoff for 8 yards.

Braylon Bean had 6 punts for 174 yards and Brycen McDonald, 1 for 23 yards.

The Panthers totaled 51 plays for 204 yards.with an average of 4 yards per play.

Te Panther defense was led by Samuel Moore with 9 tackles, followed by Nathanal Camaal with 7, Bentley KElsey and Drew Ray with 6 each, Braylon Bean with 5, Dakota Hull and Corbyn Harris with 4 each, Kade Carroll with 3, Brycen McDonald, Kobe Feichtinger, 2 each, and Colby Cates, Tuff Lindsey, Nate James, and Jaylen Edwards, 1 each.

Lewis County travels to Harpeth Friday night, October 4 for another regionl game.
