Jo Knows! Buc-ee's? Sonic? Splash pad?

Nope. No Buc-ee’s.

Although, I would personally love to see Lewis County get a Chick-fil-a or a Krispy Kreme, that doesn’t look like it’s in the plan either.

According to property owner Dwayne Siever, he says, “We have met with the City Council, who have been very supportive and gave verbal approval of our concept.

However, this concept is not yet formally adopted or approved.

The plan includes a two or three phase development, with smaller retail stores on the first floor and covered walkways.

Each building would have two-bedroom apartments above the stores.

I want to stress that nothing has been submitted for final approval, and the concept is still subject to change.

I also want to thank the Hohenwald City Council for their support and the city workers who spent weeks digging to locate all the utilities.”
