LCHS Band takes top honors in competition

On Saturday, October 19th, the Lewis County High School Marching Band competed in the Forrest Rocket Tournament of Bands in Chapel Hill, TN. In Class A competition the band achieved a "full sweep" of awards with first place in all captions including Band, Music, Visual, Percussion, Colorguard, Percussion, and Drum Major (Rissa Grinder) The band also brought home the Overall Spirit Award for best hometown support during the competition. The next contest is in Pulaski this Saturday where the band will perform at 3:45 pm for the Pulaski Classic Marching Competition. The directors and band members wish to thank everyone for supporting the band throughout our competition season.
