Howard Richard Whitehead

Howard Richard Whitehead, age 77, of Leoma, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024, at his residence. He was a native of Spring Hill, retired from CSX, and a member of Oak Hill Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvis Richard and Josephine Hunt Whitehead; one brother, Hollis Ray Whitehead; and three sisters, Jean Spears, Kathy White, and Vernie Whitehead.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Whitehead of Leoma, two sons, Richard Whitehead (Robbie Zales) of Nashville, and Brian Whitehead (April) of McMinnville, one brother, James Whitehead of Summertown, nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg. Funeral services were conducted at Neal Funeral Home Wednesday, October 23, 2024, with Bobby Gobble officiating. Interment followed at Fall River Cemetery in Leoma. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
