The Tennessee College of Applied Technology hosted a Halloween Contest on Halloween with many, multiples of students participating. The students were very creative in design and original ideas in costuming. When the judges met and tabulated on a hard fought decision, after all was said and done on awarding completion placement, the following costumes and students placed:
First Place was awarded to the Mad Hatter (Cosmetology) – Ms Kylie Nutt
2nd Place was awarded to Aviation Elf (Practical Nursing) – Ms. Victoria Wall
3rd Place went to Indiana Jones (Digital Graphics Design) - Mr. John Pavlick
Group Award went to Aesthetics Technology with Gru and Crew with the Minions! TCAT President Dr. Kelli Kea-Carroll, Ed.D. expressed, "We truly appreciate all the enthusiasm and interest in creating such a positive student environment and experience. The effort that was put into costumes this year was just phenomenal!"
TCAT also had a Chili Cook-Off competition with 12 competitors: Lee Riley - EPSO Coordinator, Kayla Black - Nursing student) Brittany Staggs - (Cosmetology Instructor, Haylee Hall – Health Program Coordinator, Heather Davidson – HR /AR, Nathan Fesler - Forestry & Ag Student, Chelsey Seiber – TCAT Bookstore & Student Records, Barbara Korp – Cosmetology Instructor, Kevin Hinson - Machine Tool – Instructor , Dustin Carroll – TCAT Campus Security Officer, Isac Nieast - (Automotive Student, Clint Natschke – Patient Care Tech Instructor. TCAT provided a meal with hotdogs, chips, chili, deserts and drinks! The Chili Cook-off was voted on by all faculty, staff and students who came and ate! The votes were all calculated and counted by QR Code by the twelve cooker pots as assigned a number, with no name associated to the pot.
