Obituary of Eugene Crowe

Eugene Tunney Crowe, Jr., passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, in Columbia, TN, at the age of 78. He was born on February 19, 1946, in Lewis County to the late Eugene Tunney Crowe, Sr. and Mary Vettie (Tatum) Crowe.

Gene's career as a truck driver was not only something he enjoyed, but it also led him to lifelong friendships. During his free time, he could be found fishing or watching the Tennessee Volunteers. Above all, Gene was a loving father, grandfather, and a loyal friend to those around him, but most especially, Timbo and Wesley. Gene's kindness extended beyond his immediate circle as he spent time helping the homeless in Nashville with Blondy Church and his friend, Jeff Gandy.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Cammie Qualls, two brothers, and one sister.

He leaves behind to carry on his legacy, his children, Johnny Crafton (Aundie), Gena Edwards (Jason), and Sheena Becerra (Paco); his grandchildren, Sean, Britney, Cheyenne , Shawna, Blake, Preston, Javi, Felicia, and Phillip; and his great-grandchildren, Rowan, Aiden, and Liam.

Visitation with the Crowe family was on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Burial services will follow in North Highland Cemetery in Waynesboro.
