Obituary of Ina Faye Bishop

Ina Faye Bishop of Hohenwald TN passed away in the hospital in Covington TN surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Faye was born on November 12,1940 to her late parents Effie Jewel Beavis and Edward Beavis in Wayne County, TN. She was a friend to all she met and loved to help others. She ran a thrift store in Hohenwald for many years which fit perfectly for her love of yard sales and talking to people. She spent most of her years as a stay at home mother to her three sons. Faye was a beautiful lady, inside and out, and was free spirited and enjoyed life. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, hosting, gardening, and spending time with her loved ones and friends. Having friends still around since her early adult life is a great testimony to the type of friend she was. Although she is deeply missed, we know that she is filled with joy being re-united with her late husband, Russell Bishop, and her two predeceased sons Ronnie and Randy Cummings. Being a woman of faith, she greatly looked forward to that heartache ending when she could be with them again. She leaves behind her eldest son, Ricky Cummings, Two granddaughters, Desitny Burke and Lindsey Cummings, 3 Great Daughters, Dayla, Kaysie Lane, and Paisley Ina. Her brother Thomas Bevis; Sister Betty Sue Brashier, and her nephews Steve, Phillip, and Allan Brashier and Andy Joe Bevis. Her last months were spent in Atoka TN with her granddaughter and three great daughters and it was a blessing to have that time spent together, but her wishes were to be laid to rest with her late husband and her two sons in Hineston Cemetery on Summertown Hwy.

There will be a memorial held for her at New Salem Church of God on Buffalo Road on November 9th at 1:00 pm. We welcome all that would like to show their respect to attend. If any questions please call Destiny at (901)315-8584.
