Larry "Pappy" Wayne Hosick Sr., age 61, of Summertown, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. He was a beloved husband to Jennie Hosick and a devoted father, grandfather, and friend to many.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Jeremy Butt officiating. Burial to follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends for visitation on Friday, November 8, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.

Larry was born on February 11, 1963, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Eugene and Martha (Boswell) Hosick. A proud Marine, Larry continued to honor his service even after becoming disabled, carrying forward the dedication and resilience he learned in the military. He was a faithful attendee of North View Church of Christ.

Larry found immense joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending his Sundays joyriding and looked forward to fishing trips. Above all, he cherished family gatherings, especially cookouts that brought his loved ones together. Watching his grandchildren's activities-whether playing ball or cheerleading.. He also enjoyed watching his grandkids play in the band. His loyal fur baby, Brandielu, was a constant and cherished companion.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jennie Hosick; his children, Jennifer (Michael) Anger of Columbia, Todd (Jessica) Baker of Hohenwald, Dale Baker of Nashville, and Larry Wayne Hosick Jr. of Colorado; and his brother, Jessie Hosick of Illinois. Larry was a proud grandfather to Riley Baud, RJ Baud, Rachel Baud, Ahlaeah Carolton, Matthew Baker, Haley Baker, Hunter Baker, and Hannah Baker, who will forever remember the love and joy he shared with them.

Pallbearers will be Todd Baker, Mike Anger, Joe York, Jacob Martin, Jeff Parks, and Allen McCoy.
