Norman Sonnier, age 64, of Summertown, Tennessee, passed away on November 10, 2024. He was born on March 16, 1960, in St. Charles, Louisiana, to Watson Sonnier and Christine Howell Sonnier.
Norman was a man of great energy and passion, known for his hardworking nature and his love for building. He spent his life creating homes with his hands, driven by a strong work ethic and a desire to always stay busy. In his younger years, he enjoyed boating, working on cars, tending to his tractors and vegetable garden, and riding his motorcycle. He was a man who never liked to sit idle, always finding new ways to stay active and improve the world around him.
Norman leaves behind his loving wife of 26 years, Vickey Hull Sonnier, and his children: Joseph (Brooke) Sonnier, Cathy Sonnier, Christy Greenleaf, Misty Sonnier, and Tonya (Frankie) White. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 more great-grandchildren on the way.
Norman was preceded in death by his father, Watson Sonnier, his mother, Christine Howell, his sister Linda (David) Wray, and his son, Travis Burlison.
Norman's legacy of hard work, dedication to family, and love for life will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family received friends on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whispering Hills Church in Summertown, Tennessee. A service for Norman was held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Whispering Hills Church with Terry Potts officiating. Norman was laid to rest at Hinestown Cemetery.
