Locals bring much needed donations to East Tennessee

The Father's Hands team members Donnie and Pat Couch, Chris Bean, and Nancetta Webb headed to East Tennessee recently with a large trailer load of canned meats, blankets, sheets, pillows, coats, warm socks and shoes, and other miscellaneous items.

In response to the Helene disaster, local churches Central Christian Fellowship, New Hope Baptist, Oak Grove Church and Oak Grove Women's Ministry, Freedom Holy Temple, and Lomax Church of Christ collected and purchased items requested by our distribution contact. Local businesses Highland Oil, Powers Foodtown, and Floyd Appraisal Works, as well as numerous individuals provided donations used to purchase food, coats, shoes, blankets, and socks for survivors quickly facing cold temperatures. Hope Hohenwald supplied food items and Western Kentucky tornado survivors provided gift cards to purchase perishables.

Bybee Community Church is a distribution point for the Newport, Tennessee area. Their team has worked tirelessly since the devastating hurricane hit East Tennessee and western North Carolina, providing warm meals and supplies to survivors in that area. It has been a privilege to partner with them in their relief efforts.
