Chief Deputy Matt Tiller Assumes Duties of Interim Sheriff

In accordance with state law, Chief Deputy Matt Tiller assumed the leadership duties of Interim Sheriff on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 upon the retirement of Lewis County Sheriff Dwayne Kilpatrick.

Chief Deputy Tiller has been a law enforcement officer with the Lewis County Sheriff's Department for 15 years, and has been second in command under Sheriff Kilpatrick for the last six years.
