Grant Money Purchases Cargo Van for Food Distribution in Lewis County

Lewis County Government is excited to announce the purchase of a brand new 2024 Dodge Ram ProMaster Cargo Van to help address food insecurity issues in our community.

The $50,000 purchase was made possible by a Community Development Block Grant through the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, and required no local match.

The grant was written and submitted by the county's Chief Operating Officer, Houston Hamblin, who was assisted by Tonya Woodward and Kevin Baker of Hope Hohenwald's Food Distribution Outreach.
