One Day at a Time

Well it is a beautiful snowy morning here in our little valley, it looks like a Winter wonderland. I do not know how many inches of snow we got but everything is covered. I guess this is one of the biggest snowfalls at one time I have seen in a few years.

The cats were up earlier than usual, they were ready for their breakfast. They are now out running and playing in the snow just like little kids, I guess they will get tired later and then snuggle back into their beds for a long Winters nap.

The snow sure was pretty to watch coming down and we were all excited to see it, but now I am ready for it to melt and go away until next Winter.

We are all feeling better, thank all of you for your calls and prayers. There sure has been a lot of sicknesses going around, this time of year it seems like everybody gets sick.

Bob is washing the breakfast dishes and then he will enjoy his coffee. Bobby is still finding a few little Christmas decorations here and there, but my house is about back to normal.

Since I have been sick I have not been able to help take down the decorations or do much cleaning or cooking. During the big snowfall Bobby made us a big pot of chili, when it is cold outside it is good soup or chili weather.

Bobby reminded me that it will not be long until Spring, he said Winter starts on December 21st or 22nd every year and that was about a month ago. Time is flying by and Spring will be here before we know it.

Now that I have been feeling better I have been crocheting a little in the evenings, I have been trying to get some things finished before I start on my sewing. I have several quilts cut out and they are ready to start sewing together.

Bob is finished in the kitchen and he is really enjoying his hot coffee on this cold Winter morning. The cats are still playing out in the snow, but they have not built a snowman yet.

I do not know what we are going to have for lunch yet, just as long as it is something warming. Maybe some good old fashion hearty chicken noodle soup.

We are still taking it easy and trying to get some rest. We have been trying to drink plenty fluids, we have really been enjoying the blueberry juice that I canned during the Summer.

I am not going to worry about tomorrow and I am going to take one day at a time because God still has it all under control and He is the light at the end of the tunnel.

God bless,

Evelyn “E.T.” Trevathan
